SCAM ALERT – accommodation / travel provider
A company is contacting speakers and delegates of the SCS2022 claiming that they are attached to the 2nd SCS with a fraudulent travel and hotel booking scheme. The company is calling/emailing attendees regarding their accommodation and travel and encouraging bookings. The company makes various false claims, such as hotel rooms are running out and must be booked as soon as possible.
The company is in no way affiliated with the SCS2022 or the Swedish Chemical Society.
Please be aware that this is a SCAM, and you should exercise extreme caution when contacted by this company. We recommend that you DO NOT interact with this company in any way and do not provide them with any personal or financial information or any details of your accommodation booking.
Conference delegates will not be contacted by any travel or accommodation agents regarding the 2nd SCS. There are accommodation options that you can book through the congress website. The Leading Company manages the booking; however, there is no obligation to book this accommodation.
